A winter wedding sounds fabulous if you're in Turks and Caicos, but what about the rest of us? You know, the ones who are more adept to telling you the difference between sleet and freezing rain. A winter wedding in northern climes sounds, well, cold, right? Wrong. Our amazing team of wedding vendors proved that with the right flourishes you can certainly create a gorgeous event sure to warm the hearts — and toes — of all your guests, even in Minnesota.
We set our sights on the perfect outdoor venue, The Gardens of Castle Rock, to showcase that you can pull off an winter wedding in the elements — just be sure to have a strategically placed, heated tent nearby for your guests. With the summer blooms departed, the beautiful grounds were instead blanketed in just the right amount of snow to provide a blank canvas for our talented vendors to shine with all of their spectacular touches.
As daylight transitioned to dusk, we were treated to the soft glow of a winter's sunset, giving us the same magical experience the right bride and groom might enjoy on their own winter wedding day in the Midwest. The warming rays soon turned to evening, where candles, custom ice vases and some bubbly made for a dramatic celebration. Wouldn't you love a chic reception like this?
